We at the MAD Billy Group have set this Blog up to inform visitors about our current events and happenings as they evolve. The “Mad” in Mad Billy stands for Make A Difference and as a community group we are focused on providing young people opportunities and outlets to grow and build social networks and enterprises.

MAD Billy have currently taken possession of a double decker-bus that will be used to combine young people once a month throughout the Murrindindi district. Events such as music concerts, x games, half court basketball championships, Arts, woodworking and dj workshops are just a few of the proposed sessions. The bus will also be used to train our kids in hospitality with onboard coffee machine and servery facilities to make it a mobile food and coffee bus/micro enterprise to help fund the program.

Creating and supporting localised youth groups builds stronger communities. MAD Billy in conjunction with SU Victoria are currently working on tailored programs for both Yea and Alexandra, with Yea hosting a pizza in the park (skate park) information evening next friday before commencing a fortnightly program. We are also negotiating a youth space home in Yea opposite the skate park with gym facilities, workshop and arts facilities along with social gathering areas for kids to chill out in after school as well.
